The Truth about Errol Spence

Lamont Peterson was only able to last seven rounds against 'The Truth' last Saturday night before the bout was waived off. Calm and composed, Spence cruised to his 23rd professional victory. A performance that can very well set up a Welterweight showdown.
Spence has been outspoken about facing the unified Welterweight champion, Keith 'One Time' Thurman. Thurman last fought against Danny Garcia in March 2017 where he later suffered an elbow injury. 'One Time' mentioned numerous times that his return fight will be a 'tune up' one, eliminating Errol Spence from that conversation. Although the fight may not happen any time soon, do not discard it for the future.
Former WBC Welterweight champion, Danny Garcia, has also features on Spence's hit list. Spence was asked after Saturday's fight by BoxingScene if he thought Garcia would fight him next to which he responded: "I don't know, that's something you'd have to ask him." Garcia will face Brandon Rios on February 17 in Las Vegas. Assuming Garcia wins, Spence's wish of fighting the former Welterweight champ could become a reality.

Regardless of his opponents, Spence consistently proves to be at an extremely high level. Spence truly does not care who he fights, he supremely believes in his abilities. To be honest, he could very possibly dispose of both Thurman and Garcia if they were to fight. Errol Spence will remain "The Truth" for the foreseeable future.
